Accessibility statement

Accessible by design, and honest about the basis

We design, build and continuously test the system9.ai public site, customer portal and admin console against current digital-accessibility standards, and we publish what we found, including what we have not yet fixed.

Report version 0.1, dated 2026-04-29. Reviewed quarterly.

Conformance, and its basis

Our accessibility conformance report is a self-assessment, compiled internally and pending an independent third-party audit. The methodology combines automated checks on every commit with manual keyboard and screen-reader passes using VoiceOver and NVDA. Against that basis, the site, customer portal and admin console substantially conform to the standards below.

We say “self-assessed” deliberately. A conformance statement is a procurement artifact, and one that outruns its evidence is worth less than no statement at all. Ask us for the report and the scan bundle behind it, both are maintained, versioned and drift-tracked between publications.

  • WCAG 2.1 , Level AA

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, the international baseline.

  • WCAG 2.2 , Level AA

The 2023 update. Assessed on the deltas from 2.1, which covers the remainder.

  • Section 508 , Revised 2018

U.S. federal procurement requirements (incorporated into the 508 Refresh).

  • EN 301 549 , v3.2.1

European harmonized standard for ICT accessibility.

  • ADA Title III , Effective coverage

Americans with Disabilities Act, effective accessibility for U.S. visitors.

  • AODA , Level AA

Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Web standard.

  • EAA , Level AA

European Accessibility Act, applicable to European-facing services.

What this statement covers

This report covers the system9.ai web surfaces, the public site, the customer portal, the admin console, the status page and this statement. It does not cover the System9 platform application or the documentation site, which carry their own reports. No conformance claim is made here on their behalf.

What this means in practice

  • Every page is keyboard-navigable. Every interactive element exposes a visible focus indicator.
  • Color contrast meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and graphics). Design tokens are audited automatically on every change.
  • Form fields, buttons, and links carry programmatic names that match their visible labels.
  • Status changes (saves, errors, route changes) are announced to assistive technology via live regions.
  • Headings, landmarks, and reading order are preserved across surfaces.
  • Animations and motion respect the user's `prefers-reduced-motion` preference.

How we test

Every commit and pull request runs an automated accessibility gate covering lint, unit, end-to-end browser, contrast, and Lighthouse scoring jobs:

axe-core
automated WCAG checks on every component test and every public route in CI
ESLint jsx-a11y/recommended
static analysis on every commit
pa11y-ci
second-opinion crawl coverage of public surfaces
Lighthouse CI
accessibility category gated at ≥0.95 on every PR
Manual keyboard + screen-reader testing
VoiceOver (macOS), NVDA (Windows)

Known limitations

We track every accessibility issue in our public registry. Currently in flight:

  • Some marketing imagery does not yet have detailed long-form descriptions; we are auditing and remediating these as we encounter them.
  • The product walk-through video on the home page does not yet have captions or a transcript. A captioned version is in production.

Found something we missed?

Use our accessibility feedback form or email accessibility@system9.ai. Include the URL, what you were trying to do, and any assistive technology in use. We respond within 5 business days.

A formal VPAT (ACR) addendum for system9.ai is available on request alongside the parent SYSTEM9 platform VPAT. Contact trust@system9.ai.
